Meet our Founder
Stefani Curington is an accomplished educator and entrepreneur with a diverse professional background and a commitment to innovation in education. As the founder of an innovative microschool in partnership with KaiPod, she has dedicated her career to creating educational environments that cater to the diverse needs of students. Stefani began her educational journey as a paraeducator and teacher at a private institution in Tampa, FL, where she taught 9th-grade students for over two and a half years. Her experience there highlighted the need for alternative educational models, propelling her to research and embrace the concept of microschools.
In addition to her educational pursuits, Stefani is the founder of an online bakery that specializes in transforming traditional Southern desserts into gourmet muffin creations, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity, though this venture is currently on hiatus. She is further enriching her expertise and knowledge by pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education at Saint Leo University, resuming her academic journey after a 20-year hiatus.
Stefani brings with her over five years of experience in the public school system, having served as a Kindergarten assistant teacher and paraprofessional. Her early career also includes obtaining a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and practicing nursing, which ultimately enriched her understanding of caregiving and underscored her passion for educating and fostering children's development.
Enrollment Plans
-
For our inaugural school year, enrollment is strictly limited to a maximum of 15 students per grade level across grades 3 through 8. This small cohort size ensures that our founding students receive dedicated, personalized attention as they adapt to the Hybrid Mastery Model.
-
At the start of our second year (our "sophomore year"), we will open admissions for an additional 15 students per grade level. This will bring our permanent maximum capacity to 30 students per grade.
-
Because our first-year seats are strictly capped at 15 per grade, we highly recommend submitting application materials early to secure a place in our founding cohort.
